As in much of my previous works the semantics of communication played a fundamental role in the development of this video. The concept of the exhibition was to create a portrait of a person I had never met based solely on the answers of a general questionnaire. I interpreted a set of personality traits that were veiled in the responses and then brought those traits forward to be presented in tandem with the individual’s stated personality. By acting as a conduit for the veiled content, I hope to provide ironic commentary on how information is given and received.
